I know I said something exciting was going to happen here… so here it is. I just hope I don’t disappoint you.
December is almost here! It’s my favorite month! Exciting!
In connection with my favorite month, which is the month of giving, I am excited to announce that I am officially holding my first blog contest! Yay, finally, it’s my chance to give something to you guys!
Let’s just say that it is a post-birthday [for my birthday last September], pre-Christmas, and pre-2-year-anniversary in blogging [in January] contest. Oh diba, so many reasons to celebrate?
This contest is actually a fusion of my favorite things, as far as the mechanics and the prizes are concerned.
So what do you have to do to join? I know that upon reading the first parts of this post, you might have had an idea of what this contest will be about, and you may be right. The contest is about travel! To join, you simply have to create a post stating three of your favorite places that you have traveled to and three places you dream of going to. They can be anywhere in the Philippines or the world. You may also provide a brief explanation as to why these are your favorite places and why you dream of going to these places. Easy lang diba?
The contest will run up to December 11, 2009, 11:59 p.m., Philippine time, to give you ample time [2 weeks] to compose your entries. Important note: Do not be dismayed if I do not reply at once to your posts, for I will be leaving for a week’s vacation in Hong Kong and Macau, so simply leave a comment with your link and I will read them as soon as I get back from the trip!
With my not so lucky history with randomized contests, I initially planned to have a judge choose the best post, so everyone will have a fair chance! However [you knew this was coming, huh], finding someone to do the job proved to be quite challenging. So I had no choice but to use the randomizer. With this process, people without a blog will be given a chance to join by writing their entries on the comment section. People who will write a post on their sites will get two points, and those who will leave their entries as comments will get one point each.
Now, for the prizes. As much as I want to give away holiday packages for you guys, I can only give so much.
The “grand” winner will win this brand-new cute [unisex] Fossil watch, my favorite brand of watch! I love Fossil watches and have been wearing them since I was in high school!
In addition, two runners up will win one of the following:
What I love about this bag is that it is handcrafted, which means that it was made with skills and, I’d like to believe, with love. I love handcrafted stuff! 
Honestly, this was given to me. But I have no plans of using it since I am loyal to one brand of perfume, which is Sunflowers by Elizabeth Arden. So better that I give it to one you guys!
This contest is open to anyone with a Philippine address [pasensya na people, medyo kurips ako ngayon ]. So those in foreign lands can join provided that you have a Philippine mailing address [I can send it as a gift, wrapped with love, to your loved ones here if you want]. Guys, you can join too. These are great prizes that you can give your special someone, your mother, your sister, your friend!

I dream of snow and mountains! Too bad it wasn’t included in the VISA when I went to Europe! Shucks!
India [Taj Mahal]
Garando sold India to me! If only for the Taj Mahal, I would willingly troop to India.
Believe me, it wasn’t easy to do this list, for I have so many favorite places that I have gone to (eg, Davao, Bohol, Spain Italy, Bangkok) and so many places I dream of going to (Greece, South Korea, Indonesia, and a lot lot more!)! The world is such a beautiful place! So many things to see, so many places to explore!
So go and make your list!

Batanes was also in my list before and I almost made it but had to cancel it – i heard it’s really a beautiful place and i have been wanting to go there since early 90′s.

hi! i don’t have a blog so i’ll be posting my entry here…
lots of great international brands in the malls, tiangge finds (although 168 is already fast catching up), and did i mention the food?? the dimsum there will make you feel you never want to stand up from the table! i also love the perenially good weather (i never seem to sweat even while walking the whole day), and the MTR just puts our own MRT to shame.
3 favorite places…
a) hongkong – easily the most convenient place to vacation in. you’re there in less than 2 hours, and you can come and go easily on a long weekend. it’s also the cheapest foreign place to go to when you want a quick break.
b) baguio – i always feel very sentimental and romantic about baguio. cool weather, hot coffee, fresh pine tree aroma, and snuggling in front of the fire always puts me in the mood for… alam mo na.
all the great childhood memories i have of baguio country club, mines view, wright park, and burnham park always make me so nostalgic. camp john hay back then with its american themed coffee shop, ice cream parlor, and skating rink was also the closest you could get to the US at that time. i also used to really hoard the dirt-cheap sweaters and blouses from mines view park. haaayyy… i just really love baguio so much, i even dreamed of getting married there (although i ended up getting married in makati).
c) monterey, san francisco – another breathtaking place. beautiful beaches and countrysides, picturesque scenes of nature, quaint little bed-and- breakfasts and pocket malls. a photographer’s paradise, and also a place where you’d just stand in awe and marvel at God’s creation. (also, another place that will easily get you in the mood for more —- alam mo na.)
3 places i would want to go to…
a) italy – just to taste their pizza, pasta, and gelato. i LOVE italian food!!!
b) holy land – to actually be in those places where Jesus lived. wow. that would be like an out of body experience.
c) paris – who wouldn’t want to be in the most romantic city in the world? aside from the fact that LV there is cheaper, that city will hands down be a perfect setting for lots of… alam mo na.
all i can say is wowwww vavavoom prices specially the watch and bag, im excited, im going to bangkok in January.. excited sa shopping.. thanks long weekend,i have time to join, fingers cross…

1. ilocos region – first time ko magbackpack with my wife sa ilocos sur, ilocos norte and pagudpud. lots of nice places to see.
2. our place in Cebu (Kawit, Medellin) – i always spend my childhood vacation here and i just went back earlier this year and the beach has improved.
3. Palawan – Puerto Princesa is nice clean and safe city. Club Noah is a very nice hassle-free resort.

1. Coron, Palawan – simple stunning
2. Puerto Princesa (Honda Bay) – again, Palawan is the best
3. Boracay – super accessible… night life, shopping, and food trip in one stretch of sand.
Places I want to go to:
1. Europe – I’d like to go on a European tour. Haaay, someday.
2. Caramoan (Cam Sur) – I’d like to go while it’s pristine and not as crowded as Boracay.
3. Disneyland (HK or US, basta meron) – the kid in me just needed to include this.

1) japan – kasi first out-of the country trip ko, first disney experience, at first time ko rin sumakay sa eroplano. at dahil hindi ko naikot ang iba pang lugar, gusto ko ulit bumalik doon.
